About Mike Bohman and Why?
About Me - After having been in the Real Estate business since the early '80s in California ( mostly the Carmel, Monterey, Pebble Beach area), my wife and I moved to Florida in 2004 to enjoy the more tropical flavor the area provides - just in time for Hurricane Charlie! Charlie was an interesting experience, but we decided that hurricanes are a bit better than earthquakes. You see hurricanes coming for days if not weeks and can prepare or avoid them. Earthquakes are not as polite and just hit you when you're least expecting them. Neither is particularly enjoyable, but at least hurricanes can be left behind.
I passed the Real Estate Sales exam and began selling properties during our boom. Later I got my Broker's license and opened my own brokerage. After things slowed, it became too much of a headache to run a small brokerage. It was just too hard and expensive to provide the service level I believed in. That's when I joined John R. Wood, Realtors® - the best and most successful brokerage in the area. Now I could provide the service I wanted without the time consuming headaches of a small brokerage.
Why Me? - Now I am a Broker Associate which means I have not only a Real Estate Sales license, I, also, have passed the training and testing to obtain my Real Estate Broker’s License – most Real Estate Associates never attain this license.
I am a GRI – Graduate of the Real Estate Institute. That requires extensive training in all aspects of residential real estate including financial training.
I am an ABR – Accredited Buyers Representative. That requires training in properly representing Buyers. I know what they want, what they need, and how to deal with and for them.
I am an SFR – Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource. Trained in how to successfully work with short sales.
I am a CREN – Certified Real Estate Negotiator. I have been trained in how to get what we want out of a deal.
In other words, I have the training and experience to help you find your place in Paradise. I work for you.
